Yvonne Smeets Band

The Yvonne Smeets Band has been playing repertoire written, arranged or adapted by Yvonne for many years. Recently a selection of this repertoire was recorded on CD.
In "Under a Cloud" songs tell stories of finding your place and strength, either together or alone, positively or struggling. Point of view on life and you.
Together with the beautiful woman's stories written by a.o. Kate Bush and Norma Winstone, the cd offers a wide selection of wonderful lyrics and great songs.
Songs that find their origin in instrumental jazz, are given lyrics and are naturally brought in to the vocal jazz repertoire. Added are songs from Brazilian repertoire, jazzed up popsongs, and original songs written by Yvonne.
